Fertilization in the Spring and Fall is an EXTREMELY important part of any tree and shrub program. Providing your trees and shrubs with the proper balance of slow and quick release nitrogen, combined with a wide range of micro-nutrients, increases tree and shrub health, vigor, bloom, root and shoot development and resistance to disease and insects.

Mycorrhizae Application/Fertilization
*Mycorrhizae are naturally occurring, beneficial fungi that attach to the roots of a wide variety of plants. This creates a symbiotic relationship between the plant and the mycorrhizae fungi. The plant provides
nutrients to the mycorrhizae, while the mycorrhizae effectively extend the root system of the plant, creating increased water uptake and storage for drought conditions, increased nutrient absorption and even greater resistance to disease and insects.
This application can be done separately, but ideally would be added into the Spring and/or Fall fertilizer mix (at a reasonable, additional charge).
Please note:
An all organic program is not the whole answer for every landscape. There are several disease and insect problems that have no effective organic control materials available. Even if you are on a full organic program, it is possible you may need additional, non-organic control measures. These are generally host-specific pests such as Bronze Birch Borers, root rots, lace bugs, bark beetles, etc. which require specialized, non-organic control materials.
