It seems weird to think about, especially as our last blog was on snow mold in turf, but spring is fast approaching and soon it will be time to fertilize your trees and shrubs.
We have created an excellent all-purpose fertilizer that we specially mix to benefit the broadest range of landscape plants. Although some nutrients are naturally present in the soil, they are frequently not in a form that plants can easily absorb.
We blend slow-release nitrogen with a variety of micronutrients in a liquid form that your plants can easily access. Our applicator injects the fertilizer into the soil, keeping it in the feeder root zone of the plants where it can provide nutrition for up to six months. This helps your valuable plants in many ways: better blooms, stronger roots and shoots, better resistance to disease and insect damage, and enhanced foliar color.
Our head plant specialist and pruning expert Jim has said he can “definitely tell the difference” between the clients who take spring fertilization and those who don’t. “Their plants just look better, more healthy, plain and simple.”
While fertilization may not address all potential or existing concerns, spring fertilization is a cost-effective method to enhance and maintain a healthier landscape.
